Ant and I had coffee here and I would have to say, it was right up there with the best. The staff were lovely and so was the coffee. Ant says I’m a coffee snob and I possibly am, but if I’m going to have a coffee out, I want it to be good. I was not disappointed. I wished we had have had breakfast here as the food coming out to the other customers, looked amazing.

We had morning tea here with just Cappuccino and Chai Latte, a vanilla and lemon slice. Judging from these and looking at the other very well presented food, we were not disappointed. The good barista made the drinks nice and hot with fluffy foam on the top. They support local artists having their paintings up for sale. The music playlist is good and the toilets are clean. Playground for kids outside. Throws provided for outdoor seating. Very appealing, clean and bright decor.

Stopped in on our way to Halls Gap - a lovely bright, clean and airy pitstop on our journey. Your normal breakfast/brunch fare with some daily lunch specials and reasonably priced. The prawn caesar salad which was a special was delish and the banana bread with all the toppings was a great spin on a basic staple. Service was extremely friendly. A lovely group of people. Would thoroughly recommend. ** Update September 2025 - went back specifically because we enjoyed it so much the first time. The food was divine, and coffee was just as awesome as we remember. Just wanted to add though a small criticism/feedback on the Special - Prawn taco's that were $23 and there were only two on the plate. The price of $11.50 per taco did seem a little excessive. I think to pay about $8 per taco is reasonable so it should be cheaper or provide another taco.

We stumbled across a little gem. We're out for the day touring the Grampians and stopped in Dunkeld for a meal. There is a takeaway in the main street, but almost directly opposite that is the Little Brick House Cafe. It's more than just a Cafe though. It's well fitted out inside with a great sitting area outside in the garden. The gardens are well maintained with an Aussie plant theme. I had the smashed avo. It was awesome. Just the right amount of everything. The goats cheese was delicious. Every mouthful was a new adventure in yum. My Julie had one of the daily specials, garlic prawns with rice and salad. She said is one of the nicest she's ever had. The coffee was great too. The owners obviously put a lot of love into the Cafe, the food and the coffee. Do yourself a favour. Forget the crappy take-away food and head across the road to the Little Brick House for a food food experience. Oh and it's dog friendly outside.

Some cafes have great food. Some have exceptional service. Others have a very pleasant atmosphere. Well, Little Brick House has all of them, and should be made a mandatory stop in all Grampian itineraries. It was indeed a pleasure to locate this gem and have a pleasurable brunch. Look forward to my next visit.
